Special Bath Dates Of Ardh Kumbh Mela 2019 – An Opportunity To Pray in Saraswati Koop And Akshay Vat

More than 120 million pilgrims are expected to come in Kumbh Mela, which started from January 15, in Prayagraj, UP. The state government claims that three million pilgrims will come in the Mauni Amavasya. Apart from this, around two million pilgrims will be here every day. One million foreign tourists are expected to reach Kumbh Mela.

After tireless efforts of the Central Government, UNESCO has included Kumbha in the list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Apart from this, one particular thing in the fair this time is that for 450 years, for the first time devotees will get an opportunity to pray in Akshayvat and Saraswati Koop. Until now Akshay Vat was not allowed to reach the common people.

This Kumbh will run from January 15 to March 4. This Kumbh Mela will be held in Prayagraj, there will be six major shower dates. Kumbh will start from Makar Sankranti till 4th March Maha Shivratri. Let’s know about all ablution dates of this Ardh Kumbh:-

1. Makar Sankranti (14 January 2019)

Kumbh begins with the first bath before the day of Makar Sankranti. It is also called the Royal bath and Raja yoga bath. On this day, the first decoration of the saint of various akhaadas will take place and then there will be a royal bath. In fact, on the first day of Magh Month, the Sun enters the Capricorn Zodiac with the sagittarius amount. Therefore this day is also called Makar Sankranti.

2. Paush Purnima (January 21, 2019)

Paush Purnima is called on the 15 Tithi of the month of Paush. This full moon begins only after the month of Magh. It is such a belief that the person who bath on this day receives salvation. On the other hand, all the auspicious works are started from this day. At the same time, on this day at the confluence of the Kumbh, informal start of Kumbha is started. From this day Kalpvas also starts.

3. Mauni Amavasya (February 4, 2019)

In the Kumbh Mela, the third royal bath is performed on the moon day of Amavasya. It is believed that on this day the first pilgrim from the Kumbha, Rishabh Dev had broken the silence of his long penance and had a bath in the holy water of the confluence. A big fair is held in Kumbh Mela on the day of Mauni Amavasya, in which millions of crowds are crowded. In the year 2019, the Mouni Amavasya is on 4th February.

4. Basant Panchami (February 10, 2019)

On the Panchami Tithi of Magh month, Basant Panchami is celebrated. The spring season starts from the day of Basant Panchami. After the dull weather of cold weather, Basant is made from Panchami only after seeing the shade of nature. At the same time, according to Hindu beliefs, Goddess Saraswati was born on this day. This time Basant Panchami is on 10th February.

5. Maghi Purnima (February 19, 2019)

After Basant Panchami, the fifth royal bath Maghi Purnima is held in Kumbh Mela. It is believed that on this day all Hindu deities were confronted with Paradise. At the same time, the full moon (Maghi Purnima) of Magh Month is also called the festival of perfection. On this day the Maghi full moon ends. This day Guru Brahaspati is worshipped. This time, Maghi Purnima is on February 19th.

6. Mahashivaratri (March 4, 2019)

The last bath of Kumbh Mela happens on the day of Maha Shivratri. On this day all the Kalpawans return to their homes after bathing the last. All devotees who come to Kumbh at this holy festival of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati surely dip into confluence. It is believed that this festival is also waiting in Devlok. This time Mahashivaratri is on March 4.
