The Income Tax Department has taken action against Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan for making illegal bungalows on the land of cultivation and forgery in Mumbai’s Alibaug. The department has sealed Shahrukh’s farmhouse in Alibaug.
Shahrukh was given an attachment notice from the department. The notice was issued last week for violating the Anonymous Property Transaction Act (PBPT).
According to a senior official, the notice was sent under Section 24 of this Act. In the next 90 days, notice has been sought for the answer. In such a case, the further action is not possible without giving a reply to the notice. Before this, the Raigad collector in the construction of the Alibaug bungalow had also removed the encroachment by declaring it illegal, but Shahrukh had taken a stay order from the local police, due to which the work of the encroachment was stopped.
Tell that Shahrukh had celebrated his birthday party this year last year. There is a great difference between the market rate and the price of this property. This farmhouse has a swimming pool, beach and private helipad, and it spreads across 19,960 square feet.
