“Nothing is impossible in this world if you dare to do that”. While some people fail to get success regardless of the resources, some prove that you can achieve anything regardless of what the conditions are. Just recently, the story of a young girl who we laid eyes on at the Femina Miss India Beauty Pageant 2016 and become the second runner’s up in the contest, scored 95% in his 12th board exams has left us motivated and inspired.
I’m sure everyone remembers Pankhuri Gidwani, the 2nd runner-up at the 2016 Femina Miss India. After winning the nation’s heart with beauty, Pankhuri gave her 12th exams this year and scored an unbelievable 97.25%. She studied at the La Martiniere Girls College, Lucknow through which the beauty queen appeared this year for her boards.
After getting 2nd runner-up of FBB Femina Miss India 2016, Pankhuri was welcomed in Lucknow by none other than the CM of UP. Also, she was invited for lunch at the CM residence where former CM of UP Akhilesh and Dimple along with their daughter Tina welcomed her. Akhilesh said, “He is looking forward to engaging Pankhuri in some women centric project of the Government of Uttar Pradesh”.
Pankhuri was just 18 years old when she participated in the contest and had to miss her 12th Board Exams in 2016. This is the reason that she gave her ICSE exams this year and frigging nailed it with 97.25%. After bagging the position of 2nd runner up, Pankhuri put both her time and efforts into training for Miss Grand International, where she represented India and was 25th amongst 80 countries.
She says, “Nothing is impossible to achieve in this world if you give it your everything.” She took to Facebook to talk about her success, achievements and received heartfelt applause from her admirers and supporters across the globe. She her comment here – FB Post
“I had missed my board examinations for participating in Miss India (at 18) and after winning Miss India 2nd Runners Up. I had to train for Miss Grand International and received the 25th position out of 80 countries. After coming back from the pageant, I battled a number of hard situations, one of them was getting adjusted to studying again after a year of glamour I put my all into it, and this is the result I came forth with”.
Pankhuri, undoubtedly, has made her parents proud once again. Deepak Gidwani, father of Pankhuri spoke to Hindustan Times and expressed his thrill and talked about Pankhuri’s future plans as well.
He said“It has been a thrilling journey for my daughter. It was important on her part to strike a balance between academics and her modeling career. Pankhuri has scored 99 in history and she wants to study performing arts or do a bachelor’s in Mass Media from Mumbai.”
Pankhuri Gidwani is truly proven that everyone can accomplish any feat in life with determination and grit.
