Team India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah hit a blistering start in the first T20 International against Australia in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. He hit three wickets with 16 runs and became the second Indian bowler to take 50 wickets in T20 international cricket. The fast bowler has so far taken 51 wickets in his T20 international career.
Right-arm fast bowler Bumrah took 50 wickets in 41 matches and he reached the third spot jointly with Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Amir for the fastest 50-wicket haul. However, Bumrah has a new chance to make his name a new record.
Jasprit Bumrah has a great chance to become the highest wicket taker in T20 International cricket. He needs two wickets for this. At present, the record is for India’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who has 52 wickets in 46 matches. Bumrah has 51 wickets and he needs only two wickets to leave Ashwin behind.
Bumrah will hope that he will make this achievement in his second T20 international match against Australia in Bangalore. Recently Bumrah had made the match exciting by putting the innings in 19th over in the first T20 International against Australia.
However, Umesh Yadav could not defend 14 runs in the last over and Australia won the match by three wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series. Now the second T20 international match of the series between Team India and Australia will be played in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
